One of the most significant drug delivery deals that was recorded in PharmaDeals® Agreements in May was between Neurologix Research and Medtronic. The deal is likely to result in improving the treatment of Parkinson's disease and temporal lobe epilepsy. The agreement, announced on May 2nd 2005, sets out plans for the two companies to jointly develop, manufacture and commercialise a micro-infusion catheter, designed to deliver a gene therapy based product into the brain and the central nervous system (CNS). The two companies will have agreed a revenue-sharing arrangement upon the commercialisation of the device. Read more...
